Iranian forces damage 4 headquarters of counter-revolutionary groups in Iraq

(MENAFN) According to the acting commander of Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada base in Iran's West Azarbaijan province, Iranian security forces shattered four headquarters of the "counter-revolutionary" groups by weaponry in northern Iraq.

Majid Arjomandfar further declared that the latest operation was a reaction to the movements of these groups in the area which borders northern Iraq, IRNA news agency reported.

The official also stated that the groups were located in northern Iraq, near the Iranian border, and the Iranian officials notified the Iraqi government and the authorities in northern Iraq incidentally.

Arjomandfar added that "These militants are considered as the enemies of Iran wherever they are, and we consider it our duty to carry out operations against them.”
